In 2019, Christto & Andrew were commissioned by The New Yorker to produce a photographic work for the magazine’s Fiction issue (June 10 & 17). The image accompanied literary works by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Andrea Lee, and Hang Ong, forming part of the visual program developed for the publication. The commission reflects the duo’s ongoing engagement with editorial contexts and contemporary visual culture.
