THE ABYSS AS DARKNESS
THE ABYSS AS DARKNESS 2025:
Was a photographic commission for the controversial issue of KingKong Magazine, exploring the ideological and emotional tensions surrounding technological singularity. The work reflects on a future shaped by power, control, and the human desire to transcend its own limitations—asking what it would mean if we could take the place of God.
Through staged, bio-engineered figures that exist between human and machine, the images embody the conflict between past and future, belief and transformation. Set within a shared but unstable reality, these beings reveal the melancholic aftermath of radical experimentation, blurring identity and morality. From the perspective of a distant timeline, the photographs function as fragments of a world where the promise of progress has produced unsettling new forms of existence.
