GLORY OF THE ARTIFICE
GLORY OF THE ARTIFICE
Glory of the Artifice examines the future as a cultural fiction—an aesthetic construct continuously produced through images, spectacle, and technological desire. Rather than presenting the future as a linear destination, the project suggests that contemporary society already inhabits a simulated anticipation of what is yet to come.
In this sense, the future becomes less a temporal horizon than a visual regime: an illusion sustained by media, consumer culture, and the relentless production of images.

In 2015, Christto & Andrew presented a solo presentation of their work at Unseen Photo Fair with East Wing Gallery. The presentation followed their participation in the FOAM Talent exhibition the previous year and introduced a new body of work exploring their evolving photographic language.
